Role and responsibilities

Positions Available:



Carry out general yard duties as specified by the Yard Manager and Yard Supervisors

Preparation of cabins and Containex units including all welfare units: External painting and general repairs, fitting demountable partitions. Installing furniture and fittings.

Cleaning of units

Checking off units and signing the appropriate document on completion.

Work within the Health and Safety guidelines – ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner. Ensure that a risk assessment and method statement is provided for the work you are undertaking if required by the client.

Ensure all appropriate PPE is worn and that you dress in a presentable manner – clean overalls and Procomm clothing to be worn in the workplace.

Ensure that the company vehicles being used are kept clean and tidy and that the company vehicle mileage log is completed.

Ensure that the company vehicle is returned to the yard on completion of site work.

Please Note: Permission must be obtained from the Branch Manager if any company vehicle is taken home either from a site or the yard.

Attending site – ensure that your work is carried out as instructed i.e. for repairs, complete as required and ensure that you obtain a signed completion document from the client.

Off Hires: damages and missing items are reported to the office.

On Hires: are completed as per instructions.

Housekeeping: ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy at all times.

Ensure all equipment/ tools/ lifting gear prior to being used is in good order and has the appropriate in date certificate.

Report any issues to Management that cause concern.

Report daily to Management and update on progress.

When working on various sites throughout the UK you must ensure that you contact the office prior to leaving the site on completion of work.

What you need:

Full driver’s license

Telehandler license (preferable but not necessary)

Basic understanding and acceptance of health & safety rules

Good mix of general maintenance skills.

Competent in the use of basic hand/power tools

Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a team

Hours of work:

Full time – Monday to Friday Start time 8:00 – 16:30
